QuantumFIRE alpha is a research project that invites the public to donate computing power for scientific research in Quantum Foundations, Solid State Physics and Quantum Chemistry. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.
QuantumFIRE alpha is based at the TCM group in the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK.

Sieht evt. schlecht aus...
I do have some problems with funding the continuation of QuantumFIRE, but I hope that I can solve this issue in the next weeks ... though it might take until the end of March, sorry :(

Sänger hat ein kleines statusupdate bekommen...
Hallo Uwe (Martin ist okay),
ich habe ein etwas turbulentes Jahr hinter mir und bin jetzt seit Anfang Oktober als Juniorprofessor an der Universität Ulm. Sobald ich hier Hardware und Netzzugang für den Server genehmigt bekomme, geht QuantumFire wieder online. Beide Projekte (also auch QMC) werden dann im Verlauf des Winters aktualisiert und überarbeitet. Bei QMC stehen auch noch einiges an, weil auch Prof. Grimme gewechselt hat, nämlich von Münster an den (oder sollte ich sagen seinen? ;) neuen "Center for theoretical Chemistry" in Bonn und er zusammen mit mir QMC@home ins Leben gerufen hat - auch da wird der Winter also spannend ...

physics@home is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in solid state physics nanoscale sized and quantum chemistry as well. The project is beta-testing running. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.
